    Client wants me to spice up the page a little but not change too much ...

    Right now I'm working on a flash movie for the main page where he talks about what they do ...

    anyone else have any ideas other than complete redesign? it runs off wordpress

    i think the colors need some sort of adjustment ... they are somewhat bland

    i also plan on animating that globe logo too

    any tips are appreciated, :coold:

    Maybe preload your images for mouseover reasons. When I mouseover the buttons on the left, they are pure white until the mouseover image is loaded.

    I would also add a link mouseover color change, and possibly underline just to show that I'm highlighting a link.

    Other than that, yes, colors could use some work.

  4. also the "posted on" text is a little light on my screen. could be darker imo.
    and plan it green in the logo imo might be better off green like your header text on the right column. maybe it'll tie in better together

    did you mean for the height be fixed, or was it mean to scale to 100%

    i think its mainly the colors. the light green titles are not standing out and the white on the light green button/links and white text on light blue not standing out at all, makes it hard to read. try just darkening them or making the navigation with pictures to pop out more?

    yeah that is what i first thought when i saw the page

    not enough contrast in the colors and the colors arent vibrant either .. makes it sort of look faded/old/outdated .. thanks, :)

    Very nicely designed site. Possibly add a mouseover action for links, such as underlining... I read in the usability book that helps :)

    nice code :)

    One way you can have the button images load without having to wait is to have all states of the button in a single image instead of using separate images for each state.

    Example:

    For the "Imagine It" button, you could have this image:

    [IMG]

    And this css:

    Code:
    #imagineit {
    	background: url(http://www.2planitgreen.com/images/imagine.png);
    }
    #imagineit:hover {
    	background-position: 0px -37px;
    }

    And this is the result:

    http://icanhasupload.com/simplebuttonhover/

    Now the user will no longer see a white background, but will instead have already loaded the hover state because the hover state is already in the image.

    Also, when you mouseover the images, the cloud seems to shift. Kinda tacky since the other logos don't.
