Ok so, I am PTing at a family gym for some spare cash.

One of the sales guys does this for his typical leg day:

    Sumo Squats: 4 x 12/10/8/6
    -superset calf raises between sets
    Standard Squats: 4 x 12/10/8/6
    -superset calf raises between sets
    Narrow Stance Squats: 4 x 12/10/8/6
    -superset calf raises between sets

    SLDL: 4 x 12/10/8/6
    Sumo DL: 4 x 12/10/8/6

    Single Leg Sled 45° Leg Press: 4 x 8
    -superset calf raises between sets
    45° Hack Squat Press: 4 x 8
    -superset calf raises between sets

    Leg Extensions: 4 x 8
    Leg Curl: 4 x 8

I asked him how long he has been doing this, he said 6 months. I ask him how wrecked his legs are after doing this and he said he is usually only sore the following day and is back to normal after that.

He said he isn't juicing, I believe him because he didn't sound to smart on the subject.

I asked him has he seen any gains and he said only in strength, none in size which is what he is looking for. I was watchin him and bullshittin w/him for a while, for his last set of squats he did 405 x 2 ass to grass, like painfully low. :eek3:

How can someone do that much volume without falling apart? It takes him about 1hr 10mins to finish that day. He's 6'0" 195lbs lean as fuck...ima guess below 8% bf

Not a good indication, most people I know on roids are pretty damn ignorant of the subject.

If he's been training his whole life it's possible he worked up to it. What does he eat in a typical day?

he's just dedicated and clearly hates his calfs. lol You can do that much volume with proper diet and rest. Overtraining isn't nearly as easy as people like to think.

I got through a workout that was like 70% of that one and was gassed. That guy is a monster.

    4x10 front squats
    4x10 hack squats
    4x10 squats
    4x10 single leg calf raises
    4x10 double leg calf rasises
    4x10 leg extensions
4x10 leg "kickbacks" Machine you stand on, leg up and it's almost like a reverse kick (works the glutes and hamstrings)
    4x10 lunges

I was dead and could barely walk after that one and his seems a lot more intense than that.

My leg day for the last two weeks has wrecked my ass for days:

    4x15 leg extensions
4x10 hack squats w/triple drop set at the end (7 sets total)
    4x10 leg press
    3x10 squats
    3 sets leg curls
    3 sets SLDL's

I can't even imagine doing 3 drops sets at the end of those hack squats. Do you do them all in that order?

Yeah, the drop sets are a bitch but I keep the weight relatively light. Then on the squats I only end up using 225 or so but my quads are wasted.
