Can you listen to mp3s through the bluetooth headset?
If so, how is the sound quality?
PocketPC has WMP10
Doesn't really answer my question, but since you brought it up...
Can't listen through bluetooth headset, you wouldn't want to anyways, bluetooth 1.1 is shitty for bluetooth.
Quality is good, I use pocket tunes and don't really notice anything bad with the files. I'm no audiophile, but I don't really hear noise or anything.
The JAM is nice, but no thumboard plus a few other qualms kept me from getting it, and i love PPCs.
question #2: how are songs/files stored. Website says it has 64MB memory, does it use memory cards as well, or are you limited to the memory contained within the phone?
You'll have to bear with my ignorance, i know little about smartphones/PDAphones
No you can't play media files from the onboard memory, it has to be from the SD card.
I'm using a 1gb sd card to listen to my music.
But my office is sending me a free ipod shuffle so I'll prolly use that for a while
I'm having the hardest damn time finding the perfect smart phone.
I want a PDA phone with a camera, bluetooth, and 802.11. The ony 2 I can find are HP and Seimans (in the US) and they both have big issues. Are there really only 2 phones to choose from?
For me, wifi isn't a big deal at all...if I'm by a hotspot, it usually means i'm right by my computer or there is one nearby. Plus, whenever I need intarwebz is when I'm not around a hotspot, so EDGE fills in that gap quite nicely.
Right now, there isnt much to choose from if you want wifi. What issues have you heard about the sx66? Its a solid device IMO, just a tad large for a phone, but I'm assuming you will use a bt headset most of the time and also be a heavy data user. So why not?
The wi-fi wouldnt be so much for when I travel, it'd be for when I'm at work. I could use the wi-fi to access our network to update/access files without having to go back to my desk (I roam all over the building).
I guess the only problems with the SX66 are that it doesn't have a camera (I can live with that), and Cingular is the provider (heard really bad things about them, and the review mentions that as well).
still, it might be worth a better look. Thanks!
It does have a camera see here
I have cingular and they're ok. When you go in for service, just make sure that they added all of the services that you wanted, and none that you didn't. Review your contract before you sign it.
