Ive been shooting from 25 meters everytime Ive gone. From what Ive heard thats not even close to the standard distances pistols are shot at. What distances do most shoot from. I thought I was just a shitty shot but 25 meters is a bit hard/far.

I do most of my shooting at 7-10 yards right now for handguns. I'm not a bulls eye shooter and I'd rather have the ability to place several rounds on my target quickly than slower hits at far more unlikely distances. I do about 1" groups at 10 yards with most of my handguns. Every once in a while I'll run the targets out further for fun but its not a huge worry for me. Maybe when my 1" groups at 10 yards turn into 1 ragged hole I'll run it out further. Until then I'm going to keep going for speed.

All depends on your state, I've never had to do anything more for a chl than send in a form with a picture. In my neighboring state of missouri its a huge b27 target at 7 yards. At least 15 of 50 rounds must hit the silhouette. I've never heard of any qualification tests for ccw that any "normal" person couldn't pass with about 60 seconds worth of instruction on trigger pull and aim.

You don't have to qualify at all to get your CCL in Colorado. My CCL class was a 4 hour lecture :dunno:.

It's all about trigger control at 25 and beyond.

since its a glock, chances are your trigger finger is rubbing on the frame slightly causing the problem.

That being said, my groupings @ 40feet and smaller than a business card
