Something isn't right there. I'm assumming they are talking about hacked 250 gig HDD's for the 360 itself and then maybe separate HDD's loaded with games? Cause 125 games is almost a TB of data.

yeah but he was on xboxiso.com asking for donations then he actually upped it. Whats even funnier is dudes on irc had his name/addy/location like as it was happening. He posted a pic directly from his iphone and apparently in the exif data it stores your GPS coordinates or some shit. They were all trying to call him last weekend when this all went down.

is it illegal to buy the game early? Is it illegal to rip the game and put it on torrents?

I didnt think either was illegal, so the thing they got him on was trying to sell burned copies of it and games loaded onto a HDD.

At a game company I used to work at (hint: 2 letter acronym) they have a company-wide email system with different groups you can send to, e.g. "for sale" which can be seen by anyone subscribing to it, including our offices in Europe, Japan, etc. Some guy in customer support decided to post in the for sale section his collection of burned games - including games made by the company. You can guess what happened to him within 10 minutes of posting that. Some people are just plain stupid.
