Spec wise they are pretty close, and the IDQ's are a tad more expensive (going by CarDomain's prices). So what's the difference exactly? I've heard both sound really good, so.. :dunno:

I want a sub thay compliments my system, without overpowering my mains, and still be able to pound pretty good. I'm running an Alpine 9833, JBL GTO 75.4 (104RMS x4 @ 4ohms) powering my front comps, Phoenix Gold Octane ZR 6.5.

I'd like to just bridge the rear channels and run the sub off that (close to 300watts RMS @ 4ohms) until I get a separate sub amp. (probably would be around a month or so later) I listen to anything but country, mostly rock, but lately a little more hip-hop. The thump is getten to me :hs: So SQ is more of a concern than SPL at the moment, but I would like to be able to play it loud as well, (windows down headen home from school on the freeway ;))
    Anyway, thanks. :bigthumb:

Alright, I talked to the guy at ID, and he recomended the 10in ID V3 with a sealed box. If I need more bass, I'll just pick up another 10 I think. They are pretty affordable, so that won't be a problem.

I think I am going to get the sub and box off cardomain, they have some good deals on the sub, and box. Which brings me to my next question, what do you think of this box?
http://www.cardomain.com/item/OBCSS10166 Seems pretty good, reviews on it are good as well. Seems better than anything I could build, and it has the right amount of space inside as well. Good enough?

    Thanks :)

Obcon makes nice boxes. Usually pricey. How much is the one from SD on sale?

Less than $100. After the sub ($129, box is usually $160, on sale for $109 plus additional savings) and my grand total comes to $204. Savings was $34. Sounds like a good deal.
