i would imagine that if the governments around the world allowed very relaxed gun ownership for life in return for say a 3 year service in the military you'd get a surge of people wanting to join up!

massively wonderful collection of firepower there

i wonder how much he paid for the m249!

:werd: I think Switzerland and Israel are pretty much the only countries that'll let you own just about anything with out a bunch of red tape and fees.

Dunno what he paid but probably whatever the real world market value of them is, no bullshit restrictions to artifically inflate prices there.

What's the language there? Do most of them speak English or do I need to learn Dutch or something?

i was surprised that private m249s go for like $50k in the US!

we have a buttload of them in the army here and it looks like it cost $600 to stamp out at the local factory!

also note what that guy says about his sniper rifle collection at the end

everything you wanna know about the swiss:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switzerland

the swiss live by the saying si vis pacem, para bellum, meaning "if you want peace, prepare for war"

they have never been at war - i often wonder if a citizen army works out to be cheaper than a regular army

Looks like the easiest and quickest way is marrying a Swiss citizen.

I think the government also gives them like 50 rounds of 5.56 which is pretty useless.

What's to stop you from buying a crateload of 5.56 and blasting away at the range with your govt. supplied SIG 550? :p
