about guns. A co-worker of mine got a new mini14 so we were standing around talking about it for a little bit. Then the next day the boss comes and tells us that we can't talk about guns, ammo, knives, or anything like that b/c somebody reported us to HR saying that it made them fear for their life. Also we can't even have our firearms in our car while we're at work. I pretty much told him to fuck off and that if they want to fire me for having my gun in my car then to go for it. If they want to make a big deal about it then I can make a big deal out of it too.

We talk about guns all the time around here, but if its company policy about not having guns in the cars, they have signs here saying you cant.

I'm waiting for that to happen at my work. There are a couple coworkers that are into guns and that's pretty much all we talk about. I bet it scares the hell out of some people (freakin sheep).

We also can't have guns in our car, but I still keep mine and I know a few others do too. I refuse to let my company remove my right to defend myself outside of work.

The company policy probably states that you cannot have any weapons on the premises - That would include the parking lot where your car is most likely parked.

Assuming your company policy is like mine.

Did you ask your boss how he felt about having such irrational, insecure and emotionally unstable women working for him?

I would tell him to fuck off as well if he told me I couldn't talk about my hobby/passion with another employee that shares the same.

I think in one state, possibly indiana, they were working on or passed a bill stating that employers can not restrict employees from lawfully carrying in the trunk of their car.

If you look at the world we live in and both sides of the story I could see her concerns.. there are some crazy people in this world and if you didnt know someone and they start talking about guns and killing stuff, I would be worried too

hell...I have one of my "crazy bones" targets sitting next to my desk, all shot up.

Nobody has said a word. Granted, I work in a closed operations center, and 99% of the company can't get into the room.

so if some nutjob decides to bring a gun into my place of work and shoots me and I dont have my concealed weapon on be because of gay ass company policy, assuming I dont die from the wounds, can I sue the fuck out of the company for not letting me properly protect myself?

    EDIT: Holy fuck runon sentance!!1

I wonder, if you worked at a gun manufacturer, could you have your guns in your car?

Are you able to conceal at work? I would, and have at every job where I was able.

My company policy states that I may not bring any dangerous weapons to work. What constitutes dangerous I have no idea. So I just leave all my shit in the car. However I do get kind of nervous sometimes when we have a big holiday weekend and I have ass loads of cash in the office with me.

Everyone worries more about company policy than their lives. Fuck that. Conceal it. If you get fired, find another job, because your life is worth more than that.

Easier said than done. I think I might join the Army though so then I really wouldnt need to worry about it.

i'm not worried about anything happening at work. the biggest thing is that sometimes i leave work and go run a bunch of errands and shit b4 i go home. so basically since i can't even leave my gun in my car b/c it's on the company premisise i have to go home to get it and go back out again. that's just stupid. this happened like a week ago. now every time i have to go in when i'm not on the clock i open carry just to piss off the stupid anonymous fuck that reported it.
