can any of you guys suggest a backpack for my gear? i've heard some good stuff about lowepro bags, i've been eyeing the "nikon" bag on ebay for a while. i checked out some stuff on bh but its pretty pricey.

it'll basically be a d90 w/ grip, 18-270, 10-22, charger, extra batteries, a speedlight, and preferably straps on the side to hold onto a tripod, and my macbook on occasion.

i'd like room to expand to hold more lenses in the future, though.

oh, and preferably around 100 bucks or less. poor college student ftl :hs:

i've been looking on bh, and i can't seem to find a bag that accommodates a tripod well.

lowepro fanboy here. I love mine. I had a cheaper bag that I used once and sold it. I didn't like it and knew that I'd forever be putting up with it's shit. Camera bags are like good women. Find the right one and you'll live with it forever. Get a cheap one and you'll hate yourself in the morning.

The only backpack I have is the LowePro CompuDayPack. If you've got a laptop it works out pretty nice.

:edit: No straps for tripod though.

i really like that bag, actually. probably going to look into it further, have some lowepros in the back of my mind still, though.

edit: looking at it now, the bag looks kind of...big. i'm going for something with a smaller profile. i really liked my buddy's nikon backpack but i didn't like the placement of the camera body.

It is pretty damn big. I used the camera block only 90 percent of the time. Hiking and skiing I put it in the backpack. But it is quite large with wayyy to many straps haha. And putting your skis on the back and hiking up hill = sucks!

i didn't know the camera block came out like...that. thats a pretty cool feature. i'm probably going to pick this bag up if i can find it for a decent price.

I think I'm probably going to opt for the Dakine Sequence when I get a chance.

the block has its own top and is self contained. You'd be fine.
