    If there are more than 3 or 5 people using the same version at the same time (can't remember which one) then the program will close and you cannot save your work. It will then show an error saying that too many people are using the same product key. If you're only using it offline, then you're fine. If it's a real friend, then you're fine (which obviously it isn't). But if you it's from a torrent, then there's a good chance that while you're working, it will close and you will lose everything.

    no help, but use neo office instead, no need to worry about such problems

    It's more than one user at the same time. If your friend is using office and you fire it up, there will be message saying that you can't use it until the other signs off. And if for some reason you get booted off it will prompt you to save.
