But Ford said NO! So Renault Nissan is now rumored to go to plan B and wants to buy Saab from GM. :noes:

Bad time to be asking the yanks for some cash...

And Nissan already owns Mitusbishi trucks as well. Might as well pick up the cars too.

They're offering to buy Saab from GM. GM should use this opportunity to unload their Swedish burden as they can't save themselves, let alonge Saab.

It would be a great opportunity to put cars in the USA market that can actually offer something to the upscale yank :noes:

Ford would never part with Volvo. Volvo is pretty much leading the way for PAG and Ford. Volvo is making much cash for ford right now.

GM does that and all they'll have is the garbage low end stuff and the 30K+ expensive stuff. They seem to lack any understanding of a nice unique car that dosent cost over 30 grand.

I'd buy a 9-3 before any Chevy, Buick, or Pontiac sedan.

GM just doesn't have the resources to properly resurrect Saab without cheap, horrible rebadges like the 9-2 and 9-7. They waste money on that while the 9-3 and 9-5 age and become uncompetitive, even with new engines.

Ford has done a much better job managing and expanding Volvo. Volvo remains very and successful unique even with the Ford C-1 chassis being used for the S40. You wouldn't know the S40, Mazda 3 and new Focus were the same car underneath.

:werd: I got a chance to look over a 9-7, it was a real letdown. If someone could be heartbroken over a vehicle, it was with the 9-7.

And the new ad campaign "Born from Jets"? :hsugh:
Honestly, they've put that brand on the fast track to oblivion

The 9-3 and 9-5 both need complete makeovers, and AWD. Fast.
