Apple stores need to stay open until 10 so I can go get a macbook pro.
that is all.
Yeah, well how far do you have to travel to get to one? .....because I have to go 140 fucking miles.
...........which is actually good because i'd be running to the pawn shop every week to sell my shit if I lived by one.
I'd go from a leather couch and a big screen plasma ...... to a blanket, a SPOOL, and a MBP hooked to an external 30 inch cinema.
It's a 45 minute drive at the very least.
I think I'll go tomorrow morning and come into work late.
i have 2 within 15 mins of me
Why not order online?
It is about an hours drive for me.
Because I'm impatient, lol
i went into the store and left with my macbook pro all within 8 minutes. didn't even play with any of the display models
Just buy it online with a student discount?
let me know when you get it and drop it off at my house so I can "play" with it.
Sometimes, I like ordering it online because when the Fedex guy brings it, it feels like Christmas morning... opening up new stuff.
I have 3 within 15 minutes of my house. California FTW! :keke:
15 minutes = Brea and Costa Mesa
25 minutes = Irvine
I thought they were open 'til 10?
Each store has it's varying operating hours. Depending upon where one lives (ie., a large city vs. Nowhere, Kansas) the store can remain open anywhere between 8-11 PM.
I know for the Apple Store along the 'Magnificant Mile' in Chicago it closes at like 9 PM. I should know, since I'm going to buy my MBP there in October when I get all my funds together (paying extra for shipping vs. pre-paid college CTA pass... I'll deal with the smell of urine on the trains for 35 minutes).
Dammit. It should be 10pm everywhere, equal access man!
I'd shop at the malls in NY until 10pm but when I moved back home in MI after 5 years, I found out that the malls here close at 9pm.
I was gonna call you to come with, but then I looked at the store hours.
I don't understand why the store in Oak Brook isn't open until 10, like the rest of the stores in that goddamn mall.
It's possible that the Oak Brook store has a different contract deal with the mall, giving them the ability to close the Apple store prior to the mall's closing. If the store is a large store and not just a small Apple outlet store this could strengthen my idea of the contract deal; most large stores (Kohls's, Carson Piere Scott, etc.) often operate on their won timetable and not the mall's timetable. I know most malls by me close at around 9 PM on most nights, with the large stores remaining open until 10 PM on most nights.
even better If I come That means I can punch you in the back of he head, grab the computer, steal your car, and then strand you. Then I have to hide until August when I can make my grand escape to canada with a shiny new MBP
This is what I plan to do.
cool, I'll ask them when I go in today.
390 miles for me
woo woo leaving soon.
Closest one to me is about 35 minutes.
