Does that mean I can bring an R32 without much hassle as before? Because my buddy stationed in Okinawa says he can buy R32 GT-R's for less than 6k and ship it to me for around 1200.

I know the new GT-R is just a GT-R and not a Skyline..I haven't kept up-to-date on import laws for Skylines..

    I've always wanted an R32 GT-R..

Is the new skyline that great of a car that it actually goes back and modifies all the old gt-rs to meet safety and emissions standards? :eek3:

you said I know the new GT-R is just a GT-R and not a Skyline..I haven't kept up-to-date on import laws for Skylines..
well this new skyline would have no bearing on laws concerning cars not designed for this market, who don't pass smog/safety

They share the GT-R name..I was hoping that would change the laws for older GT-R's..

So you mean to tell me a 1989 Tempo is safer than an R-32 GT-R in an accident?
