terrorism awareness FTW
its a base commander prefrence thing, here in san antonio I dont need a sticker to get to work on randolph but if i venture to lackland i have to get a pass
Don't need one here at Edwards
still need them here, we have S curves though!
on lejeune IDs are only checked from 10pm-5am. Any other time....a sticker gets you waived right on through.
yeah WTF. What happened to "we will never be under 'normal' again"????
don't need one at Offutt, 100% ID check 24/7
it just went AF-wide...
edit - this is awesome btw, i'm sick of dealing with the civilian punks at the visitors center when trying to get new stickers/passes, etc
NICE, wont be half the BS that it is when I have a rental car
i like my tag
Its a badge of honor for me, i worked damn hard to earn my right to display the DD Form 2220
Why? Because it is blue?
hah does this mean no more cars stopping and asking why I did not salute?
he isn't AF. I think they have to salute all officers with the blue sticker.
On FT Gordon, it was all O-6 & Above POV's
They had Full Bird Rank as it's own additional sticker
gotta salute all blue stickers
I've been told something quite a few times in my 4 years for not saluting a blue sticker.
"Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley recently ended use of the sticker, officially called a DD Form 2220, on Air Force installations due to cost, a lack of utility and long-term threats facing bases."
so i should be able to scrape off my base decal now right? ill print out this article to show the gate guard
Saluting a 16 year old driving his fathers car = the lose.
Showing quick thinking and decisive judgement = teh smarts
your avatar when you've never been in combat = the lose
oh yea, you don't have to salute the car, especially if its just the wife/kid driving the car.
Whats even funnier to me is the occasional officer that will salute back to you...while in his car...lawl
