I've plugged in all the right cables in all the right places, but when I plug in the power cord and turn it on, the fans spin about 1 time, then the pc turns off.. This is frustrating the hell outa me now cause I've redone the wiring 3 times :o

Sounds like a power supply gone screwy.

    Has it ever worked?

Take the system board out of the case and set it on a non-conductive surface. Plug in only the required parts (CPU and fan, RAM and vid card) Connect power cables and try powering up.
If it works, you are grounding out in the case. Figure out what is touching and isolate it.
If the board won't power up, you've probably got a bad supply.
