Out of my mind, brb never.
The guy is a badass. Was Marine Force Recon for 25 years, worked with the Secret Sercive as a counter sniper at the White House, has been in the film industry for 11 years working as a producer/technical adviser for films like Shooter.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY FRIEND
‘Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,
In a one-bedroom house made of plaster and stone.
I had come down the chimney, with presents to give
and to see just who in this home did live.

As I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,
no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand.
On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind,
a sobering thought soon came to my mind.
For this house was different, unlike any I’d seen.
This was the home of a U.S. Marine.

I’d heard stories about them, I had to see more,
so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.
And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone,
Curled up on the floor in his one-bedroom home.

He seemed so gentle, his face so serene,
    Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine.
Was this the hero, of whom I’d just read?
Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean-shaven, his weathered face tan.
I soon understood, this was more than a man.
For I realized the families that I saw that night,
owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight.

Soon around the Nation, the children would play,
And grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.
They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year,
because of Marines like this one lying here.

I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone,
on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home.
Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye.
I dropped to my knees and I started to cry.

He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice,
“Santa, don’t cry, this life is my choice
I fight for freedom, I don’t ask for more.
My life is my God, my country, my Corps.”

With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep,
I couldn’t control it, I continued to weep.

I watched him for hours, so silent and still.
I noticed he shivered from the cold night’s chill.
So I took off my jacket, the one made of red,
and covered this Marine from his toes to his head.
Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold,
with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold.
And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride,
and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside.

I didn’t want to leave him so quiet in the night,
this guardian of honor so willing to fight.
But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure,
said “Carry on, Santa, it’s Christmas Day, all secure.”
One look at my watch and I knew he was right,
Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight.

You know, for some reason every former "Marine" I meet is a FORCE RECON Marine. If this is just some random guy your mom met and you've know him for a few months/weeks and he's feeding you this crap and has nothing to back it up besides a bunch of war stories then i'd be extremely weary. Not saying he isn't what he is but 99.999% of people who claim bullshit like this are straight up liars. Most of them were people in the military, did nothing, never saw anything, and got out after their time was up but when people ask what they did they have some crazy stories and were part of secret squirrel bullshit. I meet more Force Recon Marines and Navy SEALS than I do just regular enlisted Marines, soldiers, and sailors who just simply did their time and got out. Every 50 year old guy was a GREEN BERET or NAVY SEAL in Vietnam, every last fucking one of them. It's all bullshit.

Just one little red flag from the little crap you posted... is he claiming he actually worked for the Secret Service? Because the age limit to work for the USSS in any capacity uniformed or not is 17 years old and if he spent 25 years in the Marine Corps that means he would have had to enlist at the age of 12 to be able to get out of the Marine Corps and still be able to meet the 37 year old age requirement for the Secret Service. If he's real, then more power to him and I hope he's good to you and your mom, but you need to find out.

I know it's hard for you to believe, but there are people more badass than you.

    Funny.

Every military person I've met is the opposite. Maybe it's my internal skill of calling bullshit. But I have only met 2 Rangers, 1 SEAL, and 1 Force Recon guy. Everyone else just told me they were either a grunt or their job which was mostly just menial work. The SEAL was insane. We were at my buddy's apartment on the second floor. I dick around with parkour a lot and he wanted to race to the bottom floor. So while I was trying to jump from one floor to the next using the balcony, the guy walked over to the living room window and jumped out, beat me by like 3 seconds.
