And I dont even regret not getting a macbook pro (maybe when some huge upgrade comes out).

All I need is 2gigs of ram and a big HD and i'll be pretty happy with it.

Only reason i had for a pc was gaming, and i decided to get an xbox360 instead for that.

    fuck switching between two computers.

Pretty much my story also...but I've got the 2gb of ram, awaiting the funds for a 160 or 200gb 7200 rpm 2.5" sata HDD :x:

My notebook goes everywhere with me. I do however have a PC at home that I hardly use, except when I get a stroke of VB creativity and I have another PC as my PVR.

I do a lot of multi-tasking between my mini and MBP during the day. Also have the G4 server running some stuff and serving up music while I work.

Switched over from a Latitude D400 and got a MBP. Had it a little less then a month, never owned a Mac before.

Dual Boot with XP, only run Windows when I want to play COD4.

The MBP is nice and I like it a lot, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better or worse then a nice Latitude D430 or equivalent. The hardware is built well, and for the price I think it's pretty competitive. I haven't really used it much for editing word documents, Visio, stuff like that yet.

I use my bootcamp partition in VM Ware when the need arises, but not very much. I really should start carying around a small firewire enclosure with a couple of VMs on it so I can reclaim my HDD space...

Would it be possible to boot off of an iPod with a firewire cable?

I use my MBP 99% of the time. The Windows machine occasionally. It just sits in the corner and does nothing but store files.

i have had my macbook for about 2 years now and have upgraded to 2gb of ram and 160gb 7200rpm drive. i barely touch my windows machine.

connect360 works way better than the windows counterparts i find.

I have a MacBook only here also. I run BootCamp and use Xp for Photoshop Elements since Leo killed the app and won't run it. I did a small 12gig partition for XP. Works great.

Only regret is that I don't have Parallels instead of BootCamp so I can simply use Photoshop at a moments notice instead of rebooting.

you install vmware/parallels on top of boot camp. you need boot camp to run either. also, just download cs3, its universal so it runs great on intel macs now.

I do have a cs3 trial... it ends in 3 days. Serials don't seem easy to come by.

I just haven't convinced myself to pony up the $90 for parallels just to save a boot.
