WEB so my liquidweb vps just took a shit due to too much traffic

    this doesnt happen often, but is it time to upgrade to avoid surges like this... or do you guys just let them happen?

    Right now im paying $50 for a 512mb equal share cpu VPS. I can get a dedicated core2duo 4gb for $135 with hivelocity.

    suggestions?

    just got an e6550 with 4gb ram 100mbit port and 160gb hd for $99 from hivelocity

    <3 the dedi's for anything you're depending on.

    I personaly only use shared hosting for sites i'm just putting up that aren't earning yet, or are just to funnel traffic etc.

    If you depend on it, get a dedi.

    (VPS's are fun for remote desktop though)

    i talked to them about it, the lowest they would go was 159 for a pentium 4 2.8 with 1gb ram

    but thanks tho, i can see why liquidweb would be comparable even with the higher price.
