She goes with me to the range all the time, and loves to shoot the P226. Now she wants one of here own to take to the range. Something cheap to buy/shoot. I was thinking a Walther P22, Ruger MK II/III, or a Beretta 84/85 .380 (which would be a little more to shoot, but it's a nice size gun for her). What else would be a good cheaper priced gun for her? :dunno:

if she likes the 226, why not a 9mm?

Thats what I was thinking at first, but she likes to shoot A LOT when we go. Thats why I was thinking a .22 just for ammo cost. The more I think about it, I dont even think I will let her get the .380.

This is strictly going to be a range gun (and the ocasional times we go to some friends property and fuck around).

I showed her my dads MKII, and had her hold it. She doesn't like the way it looks she said.

She also didn't like how long it was.

I have heard they are having problems w/the mosquito's.:dunno: Haven't looked at the Neos yet, I'll have to check those out. I would really like her to get a Sig Trailside, but I dont think she wants to spend that much.:hs:

P22 would be great for her then. She can shoot a whole brick of ammo every time you guys go to the range and it wouldn't even cost that much.

Let her handle the P22 first, it's a pretty small gun and some are picky when it comes to ammo. They don't have anywhere near the reliability of the Ruger.

You can get them with different length barrels.

You can also get a Tactical Sol barrel if she wants something like a purple or red barrel in a length of her choice:

Have also look at the Browning Buck Marks as well.

My girl would be pissed if I bought her a .22.

We were all shooting at her family's property and the rest of us had to be fast to get a hold of the 9mm beretta. She was hogging it:( I was stuck with my Mk III 22/45:rofl:

When I pulled out my Colt .45 she hogged it too:o

 Mine likes the power of the 9mm, I'm wondering if she will not like the little .22:hs:

She has already held one a while ago, I think she said she liked the feel of it. I'm too worried about the ammo issue.

You going to surprise her with it?

Take her to a gun store and show her and ask what she would think about a .22lr?

The mini-mags still give a little pop out of my 22/45 w/ the Tac Sol barrel. It's not completely recoiless like shooting a bb gun but it's not like a 9mm either.

I think for sure it will be a .22 just for the simple fact of it being her first gun and inexpensive to shoot.

......she will just have to deal with not a lot of recoil for now.
