He has no clue how to shoot. I try to teach him and he kinda shrugs it off. hits about 3 rounds oout of 50 @ 25 yards. either he doesn't know how to use the sight, or it could be that he stance was crappy, or a combination. but i ask him do u know how to use the sights? and he says "Yes i do"

but then he will teach my GF how to shoot and how to hold the gun. i then have to re-teach her and after the 2nd mag she is already shooting better.

anyways last night he tried to teach another lady friend of ours how to punch. but out of the group he is the girlies puncher of all, he is like 6 feet tall 125 lbs. and actually the girl punched hard than him to begin with. he is going on and on saying " i think its important that girls need to know how to punch" all the while i was thinking "hopefully not like you..." in my head.

he asked me what handgun he should get and i said "maybe a 22 to practice?, that or either a 9mm" he said "i'm thinking about a 357 magnum" can't hit shit to begin with so i guess not hitting shit with a bigger bang is okay?

try to figure out what he is doing wrong and tell him.

if that dont work. challenge him to a round of "who can hit the target more"

he doesn't keep his arm straight. always limp wristing, does not know how to use the sight, flinches, bad finger control (moving gun to the side). i told him all, but it seems like he doesn't want to listen to me because maybe shooting is a manly thing and he doesn't want to be taught by another guy you know what i mean?

:werd: I like to start the people I show how to shoot at 5 yards. At 25 yards you can't even tell what the hell he's doing wrong if he can't hit the target. Accord, do you have a link to the breakdown that shows what you're doing wrong in referance to the target? I think it was you that posted it a while back...

wasn't the option at the time, we don't have those corded target holder thingys. we got these tire mats made out of some kind of rubber proped out at 25, 50 and 100 yards. later on i made a little gadget out of wood that props up so i can move it where i want, but i never took him shooting again.

i don't know other people that listen to me (my GF, other friends) at least get half on the paper at 25 yards?

He's obvoiusly not interested in getting better if he won't take advise. Tell him you'll take him shooting again when he's ready to learn, not just dick around.

yeah cool target. i shoot dead center with my 92FS, and a lil top left with my 96. i thought it was my sights, but perhaps i am anticipating the recoil.
