He says that way it allows him to
"keeps test and g.h. up and decreases bodyfat or atleast allows me to add muscle without much if any fat"

does he have a point or is he looking to much into it? I get a decent amount of carbs a day

Sounds like he's on some type of anabolic or refeed diet.

The idea is that when fats are high and carbs are low your body goes into an anabolic state. The carb refeeds keep your metabolism up and in a state of fat burning.

If calories are right you'll definitely drop fat, but raising test and gh is all suspect. I've done the anabolic diet and I prefer low-moderate carb days (120-150g) for a few days and then refeeding on 300g or so every 4th day. That gives me the best result of cutting down while retaining muscle.

    Not sure what you mean?

I hold less water now than I did when carbs were higher. I keep water intake high constantly so I don't hold much water in general usually. Carb manipulating (mine is a pretty simple manipulation lol) takes a bit longer for the results but you don't lose much muscle, and since I took a while off the gym I am actually gaining some muscle while dropping fat. This should stop soon though once muscle memory comes to a halt.
