So my doctor got my MRI and called me this morning

    Cliffs: I'm fucked I think

    - anterior glenoid labrum tear
    - superior glenohumeral ligament tear
    - possible subscapularis and supraspinutus tendon tears

    Next up, orthopedist.

    I was going to do back and shoulders today. Maybe I'll run.

    Got pain this summer doing incline bench a day after a hard shoulder day. As usual, I pushed myself too hard.

    Damn. supposed to get an MRI later this month for my shoulders. Just got one for lower back. :noes:

  8. i was just out for a labrum tear and a bicipital tendon tear for four months :wtc:

    it sucked, but i think i'm back although i still have some symptoms.. good luck guys

    God dammit.

    I suppose there is nothing I can do except suck it and and get it fixed. In spite of the pain I was making the best gains I have ever made. I guess I'll just run and do leg work this winter, maybe light biceps.

    On top of it all I got sick today and no gym.

    I saw that you had posted something about degenerative disc disease. I've had two laminectomies/discectomies :sad2: Avoid back surgery if at all possible.

    really though, sorry to hear about your troubles. Incline after doing shoudlers the day before is not the best idea. Good luck with recovery.

    Instead of anasthesia they are going to have to poke him with a needle to reduce SWOLEing.

    have you been in too much pain to lift? Just curious, I have a torn rotator cuff on one side and they other side I've dislocated a number of times. Just haven't seen the doc about it. I'm too lazy for surgery. But I know I need to do it.

    I have been unable to do any overhead (presses) or pushing (bench) work since this summer due to pain. I can tolerate pulling a lot of weight (for me anyway), like on a t-bar row (165ish) or doing lateral raises (25s).

    However, now that I know my shoulder is THAT fucked, I am stopping the rowing and lateral raises until I see the orthepedist and figure out what I can and can't do.

    are you doing any type of shoulder rehab work already? external rotations, cuban presses, etc?

    I was doing standing external rotations religiously and sometimes lying on a bench. Now, I only do light weight rotations just to warm them up.

    Stop until you see a physical therapist. You are pretty fucked right now, and any resistance training could lead to more damage. You haven't mentioned if you are going to have surgery, but forget about your upper body and weight for the time being.
