    first mac he's ever owned....
so i'm down here at his house teaching him how it works...
he's just surprised at how quickly things are and how everythign just seems to work...he's already mentioned he'll probably start using windows less and less...

stepup from his gateway piece of shit...

are there any site he can refer to to learn stuff/shortcuts? i can't be here everything and fielding phones calls will get old. I'm having him do the basics right now, install stuff, quit stuff, change settings...

i would stress to him that he should flip through the preferences of each program before use. i find things work better if you set them up how you want them from the get go.

i'd prefer he didn't do that honestly...he has a horrible habit of either turning everything on, or turning everything off...no real middle ground...then i'll either get a call aobut something running really slow or not working anymore...

the only reason why i suggested it is because people bitch and complain about something that "sucks" when its as simple as adjusting a preference.

itunes is one that everyone complains about at first until they flip through and figure out exactly everything it can do. the productivity of the user is limited by the knowledge of the tools (software) they are using.

but you know him better than me, so good luck :hsd:
