Got my monitors yesterday, and set them up

Then this morning, the big box from California arrived, so I set everything out for some pics

And I start unwrapping things and when I open the power supply, I can hear something rattling, and when I tip it over, out of the fan grill come this yellow transistor

So a phone call to Corsair later, I have an RMA number, but with shipping it looks like no computer for Chris until next week :wtc::wtc:

    aww, that blows.
Is there a place near that you can buy one, get it up and running and then return it when your new one gets there?

I just realized from the top two pics why we build computers.

When that shit comes in, it's like opening up your Christmas presents.

Dude, plug the power supply in first and make sure it actually doesn't work. For all you know, that was an extra component, not a loose one.

It's a logitech keyboard. He can unscrew the backing plate and throw the key carrier in the dishwasher.

It was NewEgg, but the guy at Corsair said to go claim I got it as a gift from Fry's, so thats what I did, and got it traded out

They'll just send it back to Corsair anyway

And so I got home, put everything together, only bled once (cut my knuckles on the fins of the CPU cooler) and it fired right up first time

Im so excited, this was my first build and overall it went very well :bigthumb:

you can have opera open testing a page on one monitor and visual slickedit editing the webapp on another.

you can have opera open doing research on one monitor, and msword editing your document on another.

you can watch a movie on one monitor and do anything on the other.

    etc.

    etc.

Multi-mons is soooooooo useful. I can't live without it, now.

One 24" monitor is perfect for me.

I'm able to have two full sized web pages side by side on it.

Plus, I can watch a 1080p movie on it in full 1920xz1080 res.

Corsair even replies to bad reviews in Newegg
    check out the first two:

    you don't see that often.

I hate how Corsair handle their rebates though.
