What facts can I tell my brother other than, "Thats retarded"

He would want to know the reason behind why it's retarded. He's even read Max OT and he's still going to try this plan. :(

i have no idea, for about a month he was on a semi max-ot 5x5 plan, but then he saw one of the trainers in there that is a pretty big guy and he started talking to the trainer to get more advice.

he's an average built guy with a little flab and he wants to have some definition but doesn't want to be huge.

I thought I'd search for some articles that would state the pros and cons of supersets and also post on here to see what you guys would say.

Plus I keep stressing to him the importance of deadlifts and squats, but to no avail. :hs:

That's just insanely too much work for one session, in the first place.

agreed. That should be a 4 day split if you plan on doing it proper.

what about the fact that doing such high reps will inhibit him from doing any kind of heavy weight :dunno:

I agree, lack of squatting does not warrant the :ugh: face

It is an excellent exercise... one of the best, in fact. That does not, however, mean that it must be included in every workout routine.

From a bodybuilding standpoint, squats are not necessary. From a useable strength standpoint, they are.

Maybe not any more because he has fucked up joints or whatever, but I know he used to squat a shitload back in the day. Nothing wrong with leg presses to target the quads though.
