just noticed it now :Owned:
at least i havent ordered a replacement yet
Lots of ARs have commercial stocks. It doesn't matter, you just need a commercial stock to replace it.
i'd rather stick to one size for future AR's, and since there are more stocks for military, thats what i'm going with.
who gives a fuck. commercial stock/mil spec. it don't make a fuck off a difference. mil spec is just a pretty word.
well there is a difference as far as choice of stocks and if you want interchangeability between multiple AR's.
No way bro, commercial tubes don't undergo the rigorous TDP testing standards that .mil tubes do, and thus are not in any way/shape/form even remotely dependable. How would you feel if you are on day 10 of fighting your way through mongrel hordes with only your AR as company, only to have your limp dick buffer tube spontaneously combuste while slung across your shoulder (via the newest in Magpul sling setups), shooting the buffer itself past your puckered cinnamon ring deep into your colon, catching you on fire and killing you in a agonzing, fiery, feces filled death. All of which could have been avoided if you would have paid the extra $10 for some minimum wage employee to give a visual check to make sure that your tube had been scanned with a magnet to prevent such atrocities.
Obviously, you aren't a true operator.
I'm not acting like that at all. I just never noticed and I've almost ordered a new stock multiple times. Also military is more common so it might cause problems with future builds.
Haha, I was just talking shit dude. Nothing personal. I wouldn't care to have a commercial either, just because it would cock-block me from several stocks that interest me.
You can replace a commercial stock with a milspec one
No worries, but yeah it just sucks to have to spend another $50
Really, I thought once I installed one it had to stay that way forever
So than why does it matter, thats like saying shit guys I ordered a 16" upper but now I want a 20" upper ok just replace the upper
I was bored and felt like posting about my stupidity. At the range a friend from the army was like hmm this stock is angled funny. I was like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
