Dislocated my knee last night doing leg extensions.. was at the hospital until 2 in the morning...

Sigh. Crutches and straight leg until I hear otherwise. This blows. Good thing I didn't start squats and dead lifts yet.

you'd have been less likely to injure your knee doing squats

That machine where you sit, put your ankles under a pad, and extend your legs up and out. Shitty on the knees- shearing forces ftl!

Those are probably my favorite quad excercise. I get the most isolated burn out of them.

I wish I knew about the knee issues, but its happened and over with. I'll avoid it from here on out. I agree with Fabian..leg extensions are my favorite on leg day - I also get amazing burn on this machine. I was on my second set @ 160lbs, was going to try and max out at 200 (max of the machine).

Ceaze - Squats are easier on the knees? How so?

Went to Ortho yesterday.. According to him the leg extensions had nothing to do with my knee blowing out, and that leg extensions are safe.

I have MRI on Thursday to determine whether or not I need surgery..

Ceaze or anyone want to suggest some exercises so our knees don't blow out in general?

I was stretching my quads last night after my squats/legpress by basically pulling my heel to my ass and I hurt my knee (though ATG squats and deep leg press didn't hurt at all) :wtc:
