    any word on Marcelo's MMA training? he was putting it off to train for mundials or the ADCC or some event last year

    my training partners all agree with you. But I think that this had a lot to do with the fact that Braulio is a lot bigger than marcello, and also because it was in the gi.

    there was alot going on marcello is notorious for his nogi so I dont think its that big a deal but it was still a little ughhhh

    The way that it was explained to me by my instructor is that the game gets so complex at the black belt level that really simple mistakes are often produced. He said that whenever he gets caught, it's almost always something incredibly simple that he simply wasn't thinking about.

    Yeah, the triangle was textbook. The level of jiu jitsu is so high in this situation, that any small mistake (that's easy to see on video, obviously not so much in the moment) will seriously cost you.

    i'm pretty sure marcelo lost at blue/purple/brown but i don't think those are worth mentioning

    I think it was a pretty good match and yeah one mistake is all it takes. I love watching superfights at the local tourneys because they do usually end in a basic move that the other will capitalize on.

    Thanks for this gave me some cool vids to watch before work this morning. I kinda had to :ugh: at a co-worker who said it was boring and walked out, lol fuck him.
