    friday was the last day for the big fighter. It will be missed immensly. i did 4.5 years on the bombcat. Anyone else?

    i also heard by 2016 or 18 they will have an aircraft to replace the b1 and b52

    would you really want a new one? it would be all CGI crap...that is what i hate about movies today

    they might come up with a design, but it won't be operational (just think how long they spent on the F-22)

    i would bet that both the B-1 and B-52 will still be flying in 2020 :noes:

    I thought the b52 is supposed to fly till like 2043 or something like that

    2040 husband is a crew cheif on one of them at the moment .. we hear all sorts of stuff lol..

    most people were. Especially with Top Gun. As a whole the over all usefullness of the Tomcat was almost unbeatable.

    I got to see a few on the deck of the Lincoln when it visited Pearl Harbor years back, but never in flight. I always liked that plane though.
