Just wondering if anybody has any comments on Lifetime Fitness. The position is for membership sales and I'm totally qualified but I've read some pretty bad reviews online. The salary is commission based which is fine but does anybody know how much these guys actually make? Interviewer said that on average the employees work 55 hrs a week :ugh:.

If I were to work at a gym, LTF would be it.

    Dirtysouthboy: Well, sort of
LTF: Excellent, you're qualified to be a sales person in our membership department. I hope you like long hours, little pay, kissing members asses and occosionally taking a cock up the 'ole anus in the shower room. Oh, and NO GYM CHALK ALLOWED!!

    I'm a member at LTF

I love being a member considering all of the shit they offer, however I hate the plates (they're like the octagonal ones) so DLing is annoying.

I have a post somewhere about the trainers at the one I go to. They train your standard old and/or out of shape people, but also like clean up and gym and shit when they are not working.

Leads me to believe they are probably on some sort of wage plus extra for PT. Couldn't tell you if they make a living doing it or not. But I will tell you it's 50/50 on people who perform exercises worth doing, and I've yet to see someone actually have a sufficient and complete warm-up.

Ask what their terms are. Being a sales position that's a very important question.

I've been a trainer at ltf for over a year. Member advisors are douches and don't really bank. You will sit and make phone calls all fucking day. THe people you are calling ALL have money though. You say its 100 a month and they won't flinch. If you want to try it wont hurt.

Well i'm about to go to the interview, thanks for the info everybody. I have a few other options doing business to business sales but if those fall through I could work at LTF until something better comes along.

do the b to b sales man, in the long run it will open up your opportunities a shitload more than selling gym memberships.

I'm a member there too. It's one of the nicest gyms I've been in personally, but im sure there are better ones out there. They have a ton of resources so you should be able to find something you can do there.

Yeah I really want to land a b to b job and I have a few interviews lined up for that. The lifetime interview went well and I'd do great at it but idk if I want to cold call people all day to sell memberships. I have a second interview set up with the GM on Monday.

It is 100% commission with a draw of $8/hr if you don't meet quota. If you do meet quota you make 35-44k/year within your first 3 months. Not sure if this is bullshit or what but it seemed legit. After 100 days you get promoted to a Membership advisor and they say that on average these guys make 50k/year and it goes up from there. You can go all of the way up to a department head which makes on aveage 75k/year.

If I have no other choices i'll work at Lifetime but I'd much rather work somewhere else.

    haha.

This is sooo fucking gay. I have to memorize this 'Mission' and 'Vision' statement and recite it back to the general manager at the next interview word for word.
