I have a very hard time gaining. I've started working out 3 months ago. I started at 140 and now i'm around 165. I'm 6'0" and asian :wtc: I've increased my protein and calories intake. I'm showing growth in muscle overall, including my belly. I'm still thin, but my belly is just getting out of hand. I do light cardio (3 times a week) and abs every other workout. Is it common because of the weight gainer/whey protein? Will there be a point when it'll start getting cutter? It's just getting worse :wtc:

    So it's natural?

edit: And when I say belly, I don't mean WTF pregnant. Just a larger curve than a straight line.

you are putting on lots of weight. Your body can't build pounds and pounds of LBM a week (naturally), and you are probably eating far over maintinence. Thus, you are putting on fat. It isnt the end of the world.

If you try to bulk too fast, a great part of the weight you put on will be fat.

You're probably putting on 0.5 lbs of LBM and 2.5 lbs of fat. How much dman food are you eating a day, like 5000 calories?

I'm probably doing around 3,000 calories a day? Protein shakes before and after workouts. Lots of water throughout the day. 25lbs in 3 months might be extreme. My body got weirded out since Christmas. I was around 140 around December. Since then, i'm 160? 20 lbs in 4 months? Sounds much better. I seriously need to keep logs of weight...

Eating 3000 calories a day and gaining 1.25 lbs a week (according to your new 20 lb increase)

That means you're calories expended everyday is only 2375, this is unpossible, you must be eating more than that to gain that much every week.

Hmm. Sausage biscuit/bagel/yogurt in the morning. Powerbar, some chicken for lunch and rice, 2 scoops of weight gain protein around my workout time after class, pizza or pasta at night. And lots of water? :dunno: Everyday is random eating really.

If you wanna gain weight properly without much fat gain don't rendomly eat. Track what you're doing. Sounds like you're eating a lot more than 3000 calories as well as a lot of foods that gear your hormones for fat storage.

serious bulkers are able to stay under 15% when they bulk. if you look at offseason pics of most pros they still maintain some ab definition.

The fat comes from cheating, not bulking. Theres a difference between eating 3k Cals of chicken and rice a day and 2K Cal chicken w/ 1K Cal cheesecake.

no, it's because they try to gain weight too fast and eat too far over maintenance

ok maybe thats the second reason, but if they hit a target calorie goal for bulking with shitty food they'll still get fat.
