I've been doing some research and this is the camera I decided to go with.. Any good deals going on I should know about? Anyone else have this camera? Should I buy the body and a different lens? or should I buy it with the kit lens?

    Where should I buy it?

    Thanks guys :wavey:

I wouldnt worry too much about the body. The lenses are what really make the picture (speed). Once you reach the operational limitations of the camera, you can move up to a FF body like a 5D.

cliffs: decent camera, get good glass

can I get away with a cheaper camera and get a better lens? or should I be fine with this?

The XSi is a nice camera, the kit lens is pretty good even.

XSi body is about $560 new. You can find used, mint 40D's for between $600-$650. If you can afford it, I'd go with the used 40D.
