Tonight I focused on getting parallel. I tried to put up my old heavy set... no dice. :wtc: Thank God for the cage...

So I went from 365 with poor form to 315 with decent form (as far as I could tell).

Despite the lower weight, I felt it a LOT more tonight than before.

    Just a little testamonial...

Oh, and the gym apparently bought a new bar pad. I go to use it with 225 and the damn thing nearly rolls off my back!

I want the nasty old POS pad back.

What's the advantage of ATG vs. parallel?

Nothing. Greater ROM with ATG and apparently ATG puts less sheer on your knees with proper form than parallel does.

Remember i said apparently... thats what people here have said but I haven't actually gone out to read anything on parallel vs ATG, it makes sense tho.

You're going to your natural limits and not using your knees to 'stop the weight'. Instead your using the fact that you simply can't go any lower.
