I have a lot of shooting experience shooting with my family's collections, but I'm thinking of starting my own. I was thinking of starting with a Baretta 92. I want to get one that's US made and military style (no magazine safety), any advice, suggestions?

Sure, buy a Barretta 92. Why not. Sounds fun.

I'd only buy one if they ever hit $500 again.

As far as one for a collection, find one of the first ones ... frame mounted safety and magazine eject on the butt.

They have made thousands in the US. US military sidearms have to be manufactured in the US. My brother has one of these (US made). I'm not sure how many civilian versions are out there.

Ok, now for the dumb part, what is a C&R license?

Curio and Relics. It is a FFL for collectors. It allows for guns on the C&R list to be shipped straight to your door instaed of having to go through a dealer like with other firearms.

Are you talking about the U.S, Property Marked M92?
