I keep hearing rumors about how all of it is getting shipped to the middle east or how the UN is interfering with international ammo sales. These rumors always seem to get started by the big ammo shippers. Since this "ammo shortage" has started I've been able to walk into Sportsman's Warehouse and, if they have it in stock, it's always been $142 per case. Their prices haven't moved so why have everyone else's doubled? Maybe SW has some kind of contract and their distributors are just giving them the minimum amount that they can get away with. I go into SW at least once a week and at least once every two weeks they have several cases of 7.62x39 sitting there. I can understand why they're selling out so fast when it costs you around $180 a case to get it from anyone else right now. So are the major ammo distributors just trying to bring up the market or is SW just THAT slow to catch on to the increase in pricing?

    Sounds like it could be.
They raise prices, people still need ammo, so they pay it.
Then they drop prices again, and then alot of people buy it thinking its going to go up again.

Its a win/win situation for them

The one by me keeps wolf .223 and 762 at around 3 bucks per box/20. Thats if they have it in stock...

Other than that, pretty much the same as other outfitters.

The black smoke clouds were caused by the guy being a dumbass and over-oiling his gun, not Wolf.

    Its all bullshit,

Honestly the price of copper has gone up significantly but I would just expect more alternate constructions to be used.. Say ALuminum like Blazer does.. Shit I would use that in a heartbeat!

But besides copper and gold its just price abuse by dealers

They're pretty good. They give a 5% discount if you buy a full case. It's not that big of a deal but it can save you a few bucks

It's still cheaper to buy Wolf than it is to load 1000 rounds. I guess if you don't value your time even a little bit then you could break even. People are complaining because the prices have doubled in just a few months and it's hard to find.

I saw some Wolf .308. I think it was 6.99 per box. They also sell all of the other brands but Wolf is the only cheap stuff. I have no clue about the .50. Call them before you go to see if they have what you want. Out of all of the really big sporting goods stores that I've been to SW is my favorite. They've got pretty good prices and a lot of shit.

the cost of bullets, primers, and powder don't change all that much. Especially when you buy in bulk.

I have never bought Wolf and have no plans to start.
