not from running but from squats.

maybe from olympic squatting in flat shoes all the time?

my right leg has some odd pain running thru it, down around the shin but on the back of the leg and in the calf.

it's not sudden, it's been irritating me off and on for a few weeks, its just more noticeable today after workout.

    any ideas?

just wear regular shoes for your squatting and you will squat better. my experience in kswiss vs chucks

I should get shoes with a better heel for days that I squat.... I always find myself leaning a little too far forward and putting slight pressure on my hips or having to push with the ball of my foot sometimes during full squats.

I used to get pain in my achilles like what you're describing... usually after long walks uphill or running.

Are you focusing your weight onto your heels? Stretching your calves/achilles pre/post squat?

definately not stretching anything. i'll have to focus more to see if i'm putting weight onto the heels or not. i believe it's more evenly spread thruout the whole foot, most times.

i just noticed today that my shins and knees are all bruised... probably from squatting deep :dunno:

they don't hurt unless I push them with my finger. ATG for life!
