Sales of it is down almost -25% for the year. That's a pretty big drop for a car that's only been out for one model year. :eek3:

The "new-ness" shocking factor of the 350z has died down.

Its like the second generation ford probe. In 93 and 94 they sold very well because they were different. After that, ford had to give them away.

Its for the same reason toyota is not bringing back the supra. Is the 350z cool? Hell yea. Is the 350z fast? Hell yeah. Is the market flooded with cool and fast cars now? Hell yes.

Too many options, too few people buying for performance alone.

The nissan dealership near my work seem to have trouble selling them. There's been the same 3 sitting out front for the longest time. I wouldn't mind having one of them :hs:

They are nice, but the G35 coupes are nicer. I think that may be a little part of the problem.

And the fact now it has competition with the RX-8, STi, and EVO. It's going to get worse with the 05 Mustang and GTO coming about.

People are realizing you can get something just as cool but with rear visibility for around the same price.

I agree wholeheartedly. I just read the article yesterday that Toyota won't be bringing back the Supra.

The just are too many sports cars/ sporty cars available to really justify it. It doesn't surprise me that sales of the Nissan 350z are down. Beautiful car though, very bad ass.

It may be because of more competition from other cars. Now we have more choices of cars below or around 30K then ever before. And more are coming out.

:werd: Plus there's a large number of people who bought sponteneously and realized after the fact that they can't fit there 2 kids and family dog. There are plenty of low milage used Z's on the market. Plus the EVO and STI are now on the market as mentioned.

Not surprising. People are starting to see it for what it is; an overrated, overpriced Audi-knockoff with a Fisher Price interior.
