Once you're carrying a concealed weapon, it's unlawful to un-conceal it. As in, you bend over, your shirt rides up and exposes your gun? Was told that by a coworker yesterday. Either way, I think I'll be getting an in-the-pants holster.

Depends on the state law but typically there is an intent clause in there... i.e. accidental exposure due to a "wardrobe malfunction" is generally not going to be prosecuted, but intentionally lifting your shirt to expose your gun to someone you are arguing with is.

MTAC ftw. but if you bend over, sometimes the grip can pop out. i've noticed that it's a habit now to constantly reach to my backside and make sure my shirt is down

on the other end of that argument, as long as you're an otherwise law-abiding citizen and live in one of the 2 states which don't allow CCW but you chose to anyways, just if you ever need it, tuck in your shirt right after so you can say you were open carrying :o

WRONG. You can not OC or CC in Illinois.
    Both are a felony.

"(a) a person commits the offense of unlawful use of weapons when he knowingly:

*** (4) Carries or possesses in any vehicle or concealed on or about his person except when on his land or in his abode or fixed place of business any pistol, revolver, stun gun, taser or other firearm." 720 ILCS 5/24-1(a)(4)(West 1994).

*shrug* i could care less. I don't break the law and have 3 LEO friends who have said it's slim to none that anyone would get caught if they use common sense. like I've said before, you personally have to decide the risk versus the potential "reward" (if you want to call having to protect yourself or your family a reward).

I think things will change when you get married ;)

Last week I went to get a hair cut while my wife was shopping. I went to take my hoodie off and it lifted my shirt as I took it off, Big Colt 1911 in my IWB just chillin'. :mamoru:

The place was pretty crowded and only people that saw was the lady cutting my hair and this lady in the next chair over. Lady cutting my hair was asian and was like "wow, big gun, are you police opficer?" :mamoru:

The other lady just glared at me the whole time... I glared back. :squint:
