    WOW.

I know hindsight is 20/20, and Mike Moore puts a spin on the auto industry here, but after watching it I only feel more strongly that they should hurry up and die.

    [y]qIcSQ5tvLDE&feature=related[/y]

The union workers are all highschool dropouts who feel entitled to upper middle class lifestyles The auto executives and management are all clueless and holier than thou.

I spit up my drink when I saw this gem, 14 minutes into the movie.....

Moore shows a tv news clip of a reporter at the closing of an engine plant in michigan "Will GM reopen this engine plant if there is a rush back to small cars occurs?................the answer is no". This is in 1988.

It shows another plant closing and the last car rolls off the line, and all these employees are cheering, because it's the last car and the plant is now closed. LOL Cheering because you just lost your job!

    Cliffs.
Roger & Me shows how GM should just hurry up and die. The movie was made pretty much exactly 20 years ago (fall of 1988), and GM was on the long decline back then. Nothing has changed. 25Billion won't change this trend, it will only prolong it.

I worked for the Ford Motor Company, plant #2, in Brookpark, Ohio for about a year, long ago. Just after high school. Immediately, I was making more than my dad. I will never own a Ford.

No, it shows what happens if the US manufacturing industry continues to sink on the world stage. But good job fear mongering. That almost worked for the big 3 in front of the senate, so it should hold water on OT.

Michael Moore knows shit all.... He attributes GM moving factories due to something wrong with Management as opposed to management simply trying to get away from the exorbitant demands of the UAW.

The auto industry is slowly learning the difference between a good paying job and a good stable job.

All the pro bailout people keep saying "if the big 3 go under, we'll loose some of the best paying jobs in the country".

Why not give the big 3 loans instead of just giving them monies? Happened in the 80's with Chrysler and everything worked out.

Well I couldn't find a youtube of the whole movie, and with the short attention span of OT...I doubt you'd be able to sit for a full 90 minutes anyways.

I in no way support corporate welfare, I do feel it is unfair however that the American auto manufacturers should be done in by years of UAW parasitic leaching allowed by a government that gave the UAW this power to begin with.
