I'm a few episodes into Season 4, and I had forgotten how much I LOVE this show.

The first 1 1/2 seasons drag a bit, but once they introduce Scorpius it gets really good. And once the Peacekeepers/Scarans/Wormholes storyline gets going, it just doesn't quit.

I guess where it really starts rolling is Look at the Princess, the first big 3-part episode.

Scorpius is a great villain. He's not really evil, only singlemindedly committed to destroying the Scarans. Everything else matters to him only insofar as it relates to that goal. I like that he's brilliant, and that he's a deep character - sometimes the #1 evil in the galaxy, sometimes the only thing standing between the heroes and death - not your standard cookie-cutter bad guy.

    Best line evar:
"John, I'm going to tell you something I've never actually put into words before: I LOVE shooting things." -D'Argo

    :bowrofl:

I too loved, loveeeed the serious emotion that scene was leading up to, and I died laughing once he said he lvoed shooting things.

I know, it was great they way they set you up for some deep, serious revelation, then they drop that.

I can identify though. I love blowing shit up, too. :big grin:

Aeryn looks even hotter in season 4 than she did the rest of the show. :eek3:

Really? Weird. I call her about a 6 in the face, and pushing 9 in the body.

I'm on the one now where John and everybody else ends up in Florida in 1985.

Aeryn watching sesame street and getting pissed because the girl on it is stupid and keeps messing up the alphabet. :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

I really need to buy this series. The few episodes I've seen have been entertaining.

It's a great show. I honestly can't decide between Babylon 5 and Farscape for my favorite scifi show ever.

Be sure to watch it in order though, at least starting with season 2. :o

Just finishing up "We're So Screwed" Part 3. :eek3:

I'm going to break for lunch then watch Bad Timing and the Peacekeeper Wars. I love seeing the story snowball into this huge ending, but I hate when the story actually ends and there's no more to watch.

Maybe I'll start B5 again this weekend. :o

My roommate is quited pissed. I had season 1-3 burned to DVD however still had S4 on my computer. And now my computer doesn't work. So he has seen season 1-3 now, and can't finish for a month or two.

I was watching BSG over also, only had one episode left :(.

    That sucks! :o

I'm going to run through that one again, too. But I'm waiting until October so I'll be current on it when the new season starts.

By your recommendation a few weeks ago, I'm up to 2-05 "the way we weren't"

I started reading your post and realized I better stop. My favorite so far has been "A human reaction".

I tell you one thing, if I had watched this from the middle I'd have not liked it as much. They really explained a lot away early, like the bacteria that does the translating.

:bigthumb: Such a great show! And you just wait - a few more episodes and the real series-long plot starts. From where you are now, it just gets better and better.

My friends watch this all the time and I have seen many episodes. I can't ever get into it, but I will admit that it is a pretty funny show at times.

I bet if you watched it from the beginning, you'd get into it. :o

I have always summed this show up like this.
A bunch of Star Wars and Star Trek fans got together. They figured out what made those series GREAT and they figured out what made them awful. They threw out the awful and called it 'Farscape'.

:werd: Farscape and Babylon 5 are both that way. They're like collections of everything that's great about a scifi series, and none of the boring.

    Now up to 4x20.

The latest trilogy was good, for some reason I like the episodes dealing with earth the most.
I didn't like some episodes leading up to it, but now have been watching them through at a breakneck pace.
I'll probably finish by the end of this week.
    Good show, B5 next.

So you only have 2 episodes + Peacekeeper Wars to go?

There are boring episodes here and there, but with only a couple exceptions, season 2 to the end are just a huge plot snowball rolling downhill. :big grin:

Yeah, I'm really glad I wasn't into it when it was airing new episodes. I would have been pissed when it got canceled after the season 4 cliffhanger.

I feel bad that I couldn't have supported the show when it was new, but there's nothing better than being able to see the next episode as easily as putting in the next disc.

I came across an episode on tv the other day that I hadn't seen before. I've watched the series a couple of times and didn't think I'd missed an episode. It's going to be a a bitch finding what episode I missed. I only caught the end.
