And man, it's hard to get it smooth! It's very very sticky... I'll be sure to take pics when it's done and when I shoot at it!

I've got a weird shaped tupperware dish, it's 4"X4"X12" so it's going in there... It's probly just gonna explode when hit, but who knows, it's worth a try...:naughty:

yeah saturday sounds fine. friday i was going to go to the place where i got my ar and buy some rounds but this way i can just get some saturday on the way down there. i'll need to stop at wally world and get some 9mm rounds too.

im thinking of going to lowe's friday (since i'm skipping class) and getting some stuff to build two of these. one for close pistol targets and one for rifles

Not bad.. last time I was out there I didn't see that wood target I made anywhere :hs:

I get paid on Friday, so I'll probably skip class Friday, pick up my check, swing by the ole Wal-Mart to pick up some FMJ.

Anywhere around here that has decent hollowpoints?

dick's sporting goods has federal hydra-shoks and wwb jhp. walmart has wwb jhp too. as much as it sounds like i'm plugging them, classic pawn has like 4 different hollow points (as i'm sure any other gun store around here will too). i saw gold dot, hydra-shok, wwb jhp and i think one other. there is a place on brainerd rd, at the corner of brainerd and airport rd, that i'm sure has some too.

let me know if you skip friday and we'll do some running around. i need to get a cleaning kit for the ar so i can give it its first cleaning before shooting it and get that pipe from lowes and a backboard to hang on it

you gonna shoot that with a bb gun or what? Everything else is going to go straight through it. Not gonna be very interesting.

:dunno: It's 12" deep... I'm not sure I'll get that much penetration, but I'd be interested to see the cavity... Then next time I'll stack 2 blocks front to back if I do...
