So I'm taking a break from christophers routine

    I'm in holidays, so kind of taking everything easy.

    routine looks like this

    monday
    bench 3x8
    db rows 3x10
    db shoulder press 5x5
    biceps/triceps
    abs

    tuesday
    squats 3x8
    deads 3x8
    ghr 3x6
    leg raises 2x12
    calf raises 3x12


    repeat on thursday and friday.

    please advise me

    I will be doing this for 2 weeks, then starting on a linear periodization cycle for a comp in september

    personally I would kill the bi/tri shit and do pullups at least.

    so no direct tricep or bicep work?

    You'll benifit more from other exercises. If you're going to run a compressed routine like that arms should be the very first scrifice IMO.

    in a BFI container down an alley
    :werd: either train like a PL'er or a BB'er choose one, that routine is strictly mass and size

    thats what i want, strictly mass and size. I'm getting aches and pains and the body needs a break from heavy

    i've been on chris' routine for like 4 months now, getting the same aches and pains. Forearm splints like woah.

    any problems with the hips? after doing that routine for a couple months my hips would hurt like a bitch when i would do squats

    nothing out of the ordinary

    this is only a small break

    and i wanna see what my body does

    my numbers went up and i got fatter...so in terms of a powerlifting routine, it was successful all around

    its called periodization...of course you should take a break.....you should have that planned into the routine.


    If I were you I would just focus on timed sets for a couple weeks

    gained a lot of stength, gained a hate for mondays.
