I need the new one and no sense in having two laptops.

So I have the unibody 15" mbp
    cosmetically it looks great.
    2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo
    4GB DDR3
    NVidia 9400/9600
    320GB hdd

no idea what to price it at.

I have an offer for $1000 at the moment from a friend. I think I can sell it for more than that.

Yes but I priced it comparing it to the 13inch. Almost the same exact specs but with a larger monitor. :dunno: I put it on Craigslist so I know people will undercut so well see what everyone is asking for.

People tend to WAY over-value used macs.

    will never get that.

Look on ebay and see what they're going for. I have the same laptop, but its a 2.4 and they seem to go for about $1,000 - 1,100.

It's a smart way to price your stuff. If you won't take anything less than $1200 for it, list it at $1400-1500 and let people under cut you. Craigslist is notorious for this. So when they do, you get what you wanted for it and they think they got a deal. Win Win.

Granted. I'm just saying that I've seen more than one occasion where someone listed high and actually believed the machine was worth that much and that they'd get that amount. They'd act all offended and get rude if someone tried to bargain with them.
