    And I read this:

So the increased strength from creatine suppliments is only good for as long as you use it? Is this accurate?

The thing you're missing, is that creatine isn't like protein or any other muscle builders in the fact that it's not designed to build muscle. All it does is provide your muscles with more energy and better hydration, enabling your muscles to work harder. If you couple this extra muscle efficiency with a good diet and adaquate protein, you will build muscle faster.

The statement in your faq is partly true. Your body will clear the creatine, and you will lose the extra edge you felt because of the extra energy and hydration. However, you should not return to your 'old' strength and muscle mass levels because your body would have been growing during the time you were on creatine, and growing at a faster rate because of the creatine.

    Make sense?

    Here's a link that I found helpful: http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/creatine myths and_facts.php

So as long as I use my increased capacity to lift/run/etc more, I'll make more gains than I would otherwise, even after I stop using the suppliments.

    That makes perfect sense. Thanks.
