at the range today. there was some guy on the lane next to us who was shooting a shotgun, it looked like he was sighting in a Eotech. he fired four shots and after the last one he yelled "That did NOT feel good" - he then showed us that his chamber was empty as he would be pointing the muzzle of his shotgun towards us to put it in its case.

He asked me "Do either of you shoot shotguns?"

    to which i replied "yeah"

he moved the two boxes of 00BK over to me and said :

"Consider this an early tax refund" then walked away.

    :noes:

ebtromba can corroborate the events told in this story. but he'll probably use a ton of hyperbole and make the story way cooler than i remember it.

cliffs: me and ebtromba got 24 rounds of Rem. 2 3/4 12 Ga. 00BK "Law Enforcement Reduced Recoil" shells for free from a international spy/SWAT/black water op.

well, i got 20, ebtromba got 24 as i was nice and gave him the full box :o

  2. Maybe that's the guy that fenix-store sent to repossess your light. He's trying to get inside your head.

Dude, if you think that is a "weirdo at the range" story worth posting you obviously need to spend more time at the range.

it was mostly a joke thread. wanted to see what ebtromba wanted to say about it since we've never met before today and he admitted he was a bit freaked out about meeting someone over the internets :mamoru:

Always cool to get free stuff, even better when it's something you can use.

Over the course of like 3 range visits I picked up almost 400 good brass cases for .223 that people had left. That's about the best freebie I've gotten from a range visit. I got a cheap 1911 magazine once, but it was a real POS so I don't consider it much of a prize.

    What a shithead.

I was at a range once and there was an old lady next to me with her son. I had turned around to my right and started talking to the guy next to me, when I feel this blast of hot air hit the back of my head. I turned around (mind you, I'm quite a way back from the firing line) and there is the ejection port of a 9mm Taurus pistol in my face. I looked at the guy, we made eye contact and I guess he figured he should do something before I went and got a range safety officer. He quickly nudged her back up to the line, they finished that magazine and left.

I saw a guy walking around with his pistol showing it off to everybody with his finger on the trigger and I know it was loaded. A guy actually told him to get the fuck out of there and if he didn't he was going to kick his ass for pointing a loaded gun at him. The guy acted all shocked but the chamber indicator on the top of his gun assured everyone it was.

I can confirm this, as I was obviously there. yeah that was some crazy and awesome shit. actually this was the first time I have seen buckshot come in the same 25 round boxes as birdshot. and it most certainly was a fucking EOtech on a pump shotgun too, I have the same one on my AR, as they are very common....on ARs.......:coolugh:

    :rofl::rofl::rofl: :squint::squint::squint: :fawk::fawk::fawk:

I must say that the only failures out of the 6 guns I brought with me (excluding my brand new browning .22, which FTE'd once in its first ever 60 or so rounds) were on my steyr M9-A1 that I bought on a whim at a gun show, and that I've have issues with in the past. 2 quick jams within the first 10 rounds, and then normal operation for the last 30.

doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I don't carry it or even keep it loaded anymore, so whatever.

in fact I told you the steyr's new purpose of existing in my flock, and recall you 'd. it involves keeping it around until I start reloading, and then using it to test those first few batches. I don't expect to suck so bad at it that anything blows up, but if it does, oh well.

because you know, some peoples ultimate purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others. this can be applies to guns, as well.

although it was probably cleaning/lubrication related, and its also possible it doesn't like the weak, dirty ass 115gr WWB.
