So I left for my cottage and now I'm stuck here for a week, anyways so I unpacked my stuff and apparently my buddy dropped my bag with my MBP in it. Both corners behind the notebook where the vents are dented in, and the screens messed it just displays colored lines and it looks like there's a crack in the bottem left hand corner of the screen. I'm still within the one year, do you guys think the local apple retailer will fix my MBPs screen or what.... It's not an apple store just a place an authorized dealer so I dunno how lenient they are... I'd post pics but I have to post from my iPhone... Some hope would really comfort my so-far shitty vacation :hs:

Ouch, that sucks. More than likely, they won't be able to do anything for you. I'd say you have a better shot at an actual Apple store than an Apple retail store if you have any chance at all.

they look for dents when authorizing repairs.

if they're small, they'll notice them but won't really care.

if they're major dents they could refuse to sevice it for free

haha people will go in and pretend they do, though. believe me. "I don't know what happened... I just opened the lid and it was like that"... I've seen it plenty of times.

There's 2 small almost symmetrical dents beside the vents on the back beside the vent, not even where the crack is....

how much is it to replace something like that? ( a broken screen)?

i mean i see so many people get these expensive computers, and they drop them, spill stuff on it, etc, and then they want to try to get them fixed for little to nothing
