So I'm learning about logon scripts

    And never having used them much, am pretty much a noob at this.

    Ok So I did some research and realize the difference between a local (active directory) logon script (in each account in active directory)
    Only for specific folders certain people need to access, but no one else. This being different from file sharing. I guess you could share it with some people or could you restrict access to a say one user and then run a script to map this folder, in the active directory, for this one user? Best practices here?

    Also realize the role of global scripts i.e.
    delete f: \\whatever
    net use f: \\whatever

    What are other commands, other things I can do with them? I haven't found a plethora of documentaion online like I usually do but I love the idea... plus, could be very very handy to know

    i.e. setting up a network printer to an account, with a roaming profile

    or even setting up a connection to a printer via file and printer sharing every time you log on (home use)

    any suggestions?

    they can do allmost anything.

    adding a printer:
    rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /b "DisplayPrinterName on http" /x /n "part of the n switch" /if /f %windir%\inf\ntprint.inf /r "http://hostname/printers/sharename/.printer" /m "HP Laserjet 4000 Series PCL"
