How often do you guys clean your ARs? How many rounds does it take. Are AR's that delicate or can I just shoot the damn thing worry free and only clean it every so often.

I clean all of my guns after every range trip, but I really enjoy cleaning guns so it isn't a hassle.

I clean it every trip. Can't really bring myself to put my guns away without
    cleaning them first.

As long as you aren't shooting corrosive ammo, I don't think you have a lot to worry about. Just wipe it down to prevent rust and clean it when it gets really dirty.

I clean my AK after every range trip. Maybe it would shoot better if I didn't?

I think you should know how many rounds you can shoot before you start to have problems. Shoot it til it acts up and know you need to clean it before then. Unless you're shooting a ton of ammo every trip you'll probably be several trips in before you need to clean it.

i always clean them after every range trip.

not because i believe that they need to be cleaned but because i enjoy putting on a war movie and cleaning at the same time as viewing.

    How many rounds through it?

I use to clean my AR's after almost every range trip let it go a few times, and after about 1000 rounds I'd start to have issues.

I'm at about 3500-4k since last time I cleaned the SAR1 no problems yet, looks nasty as fuck inside though. :o

if your just shiooting it, wipe down the entire bolt the star chamber and runa bore snake through it and you will be good and use some canned air in the trigger well, and you should be fine.

I try to clean after every range trip (approx. 300-400 fired rounds a trip), but usually i dont...mostly because i get lazy when i come home from the range and dont clean the thing for weeks or months. I sometimes dont clean it except every couple range trips.

    never have any problems :dunno:

I run a suppressor. It gets cleaned every range trip if I'm staying on top of it. That's probably about 300-500 rounds. I used to clean it every 500-1000 non-suppressed rounds.

Also, high-temp bearing grease. That's where it's at.

No idea how many rounds through. I fired my full auto MAK-90 8k rounds without cleaning, mostly in 75rd drum dumps.

I think it depends alot on what you consider "cleaning" if you consider cleaning just wiping it down and running a bore snake a few times that no biggie, but if you consider cleaning taking it apart past the point in the instructions that says "if don't know what you are doing you should stop here" then it could get a little annoying. Most of my guns get a snake run through them and I glance at the firing pin wipe down the feel ramp wipe down the expterior and make sure everything moves smoothly
