I've been trying to do the best that I can with what I have to work with and it's really hard to get anything done with my shitty bench I have right now. It's very narrow and unstable, and the barbell's grip is also too narrow to do much. So here's what I was thinking to revamp my "home gym."

    Adjustable bench
    Barbell + collars
    Weight set
    Dumbells + collars

I'm guessing if I really need more weight I can go back and get a couple of 50lb plates to supplement what I already have. I'm just looking for a basic adjustable olympic bench. I found this one that has a lat pulldown:

Any good? :dunno: Where should I be buying this stuff? :dunno: Thanks for any help.

Sounds good. How does OT feel about open cages? Where can I buy one locally so I don't have to deal with freight?

Realistically, how much will I be paying for:

    Powerrack
    Bench
    Barbell
    2x Adjustable dumbells
Weight set ($80 for 160lbs to start with)

Holy fuck. My budget is like $250-300 max. :hs: I think if I have to I'll just get a adjustable bench and barbell/dumbell stuff. A squat rack isn't really a neccesity right now, and I can always get one later when I have more money.

A squat rack is always a neccesity, keep looking around, I got mine for like 300-350 w/bench and weights at sams club (floor model).

I'll try to go the used route. There are a few squat racks/power racks on craigslist for sub-$200. I'm just worried there won't be shit towards christmas time due to new-year's resolutioners.
