So I'm about to start Christopher's routine... Anything I should know before I start?

    There's about 11 pages, I'm just curious if there's anything I should know before I get started? I have a mirror to watch my form and I do a couple warmup sets without weights until I'm comfortable enough to get the form down without having to think about it all the time.

    And in the sets where each set gets progressive heavier, how important is it that I do this? How does it benefit me to do each one heavier? How much heavier should I be going? Also, why do certain exercises (Incline DB press, tricep extension) have such a low amount fo reps and high amount of sets?

    it's important to follow the weight scheme because the routine is made for strength building. doing your 5 rm on the main exercises will make you stronger, thus you can do more weight. find an increment you're satisfied with, i used to just do in in increments of 10kgs.

    exercises with higher reps are because the muscles respond more to high rep work rather than high intensity work. they'll help in the compound movements

    Okay :coold:. I just finished the first workout and it was pretty rough. I'm guessing it'll be a while until I really find what weight I need to be at. Plus I need to get some carpet down for the deadlifts. I've never actually done a proper squat before with a decent amount of weight because it was impossible to do with my last weight set. My legs are like numb :o. It feels good, though. Hopefully I'll start to see some progress a couple months down the line. I think I already have most of my diet in order.

    Yeah, I'm still a little unsure on pre and post workout nutrition. How long after the workout should I eat a protein shake? And I'm guessing carbs pre-workout are best? :dunno:

    have your post-workout shake ASAP - I know I like to get the carbs in me (via Gatorade) during the end of my workout

    I eat a full meal about an hour after that

    Just one more question. What exactly do I do for " Pullups-4xmax"? I can't really do a complete pull-up, should I start doing half-assed ones before I can do a full one, or should I even bother? :dunno:
